Tourist information of Vakil Bazaar

Vakil Bazaar Shiraz is one of Shiraz’s many must-see historical places to check out. It’s a traditional bazaar full of handicrafts and attractions. Vakil Complex includes Vakil Bazaar, Vakil Mosque, Vakil Bath, Karim Khan Citadel, Pars Museum, and Atiq Jame Mosque.

Vakil Bazaar is one of Shiraz’s many old places to check out. Vakil Bazaar is in the middle of Shiraz, known as the “city of gardens.”

Shiraz has always been a significant city in Iran. After Karim Khan Zand made Shiraz the capital, peace and prosperity came to the town for 20 years. Massive walls and castles were built around the city to give people a sense of stability and safety.

The Vakil Complex was built in 1758 but wasn’t finished until 1777. In 1972, Vakil Bazaar was added to the list of Iran’s national treasures.

Vakil Bazaar: The Architecture

The first thing that stands out about Vakil Bazaar is its size. The best architects of the time were called to help build this fantastic building.

Brick, stucco, and lime were used to create Vakil Bazaar. Hard rocks are used to make the columns that hold up the building. The material is a big reason why the building has stood up to earthquakes for so long.

Vakil Bazaar is like any other traditional bazaar in that it has different sections for each type of good. Some of these are the Glass Bazaar, the Tailors Bazaar, and other similar places.

The height of the ceiling is one thing that makes Vakil Bazaar stand out. It is thought that the top is 10 meters above the ground. In addition, it is bigger than the other ones. Some holes in the ceiling block the sun’s light in the summer and keep rain and snow out of the salon in the fall and winter. This is magical.

Last but not least, some windows on top of each Hojreh, or small store, work like air conditioners to keep the store air comfortable. So, people wouldn’t get mad in the summer because there wouldn’t be enough airflow.
