Dizin International Ski Resort information

Dizin Ski Resort is one of Iran’s best and biggest ski resorts. Dizin Ski Resort complex is the first ski resort in the Middle East that started its activity in 1969 and has been approved by the World Ski Federation for holding official competitions.

Things to know about Dizin Ski Resort

  • Dizin Ski Resort is located near Tehran, the capital of Iran, and you can get there in about two hours. The most accurate is that this resort is located in the north of Tehran in the Gajreh region and is about 70 kilometres north of Tehran. It is located near the other two main ski resorts in Iran, Shamshak and Darband.
  • This ski resort’s winter skiing season runs from December to March, and the best time is between January and February.
  • In the warmer seasons, Dizin Resort Complex can be used to host skiing competitions on grass.
  • The Dizin ski resort is between 2700 and 3600 meters from the sea level, and its length is 5.7 meters. It is among the 40 longest ski resorts in the world. The comfort facilities of this complex include two hotels, five restaurants, 19 cottages, a dedicated parking lot, three cable cars, two chairlifts, seven ski lifts, and one hammer ski lift, and you can also rent ski equipment and clothing. There are also training classes in the complex.
  • Remember that this track is the first ski track in Iran, and its equipment and facilities may be old, but many travellers visit it every year.
  • Shamshak is Iran’s second ski resort after Dizin. It has both day and night ski slopes and is open from 18:00 to 22:00.

How to get to Dizin Ski Resort?

There are two access routes to Dizin, but in winter, we recommend the Babai highway to Lashkar and, finally, Fashm because the road from Shamshak to Dizin is usually closed due to snowfall.

Another access route to this complex is Chalus Road, one of Iran’s most beautiful roads; after the 80th kilometre of Chalus Road and after the Dizin Tee intersection, it is towards Gajreh.
