Qavam House Shiraz is a must-see Shiraz attraction and one of the top attractions in Iran. It is known as Narenjestan because there are many orange citrus trees there. Here, you can find all things to know about the Qavam House, like address, photos, tourist information, nearby main attractions, and Iran tours that include this attraction.
Qavam House Shiraz is made up of a vast garden with a traditional House in the center. It is situated on Lotf Ali Khan Street, in the city’s center, near Zinat al-Moluk House. When the Qajar family ruled Iran in the 1800s, they built this beautiful garden and mansion.
People call this area Narenjestan because it has so many big sour orange (Narenj) trees, which are essential to any Shiraz garden.
One of the best examples of a Persian garden is Narenjestan Qavam. This building uses seven Persian techniques, and the garden and the palace are perfectly balanced. This building is more than 3,500 square meters and is split into two parts. The servants lived in the southern part, which had beautiful stucco work.
The northern wing is two stories tall, and its roof is covered with fantastic mirror works that can keep your attention for hours. Several rooms are set up in a circle around the central mirror hall.
Colorful tiles and paintings were made inspired by the carvings at Persepolis. They show Achaemenid soldiers, lions, tombs, and mythological creatures fighting. Seeing this pattern as you walk through the garden will make your day.
Narenjestan or Qavam House is in the middle of the city so that you can walk around other Shiraz tourist spots. The Zinat Al-Molul House is just down an alley, and the Nasir al-Molk Mosque is less than 5 minutes away.
Also nearby are the Atiq Jameh Mosque of Shiraz, the Shahcheragh Holy Shrine, the Pars Museum, the Karim Khan Citadel, the Vakil Bazaar, the Vakil Bath, the Vakil Mosque, and Saraye Moshir Bazaar.
Some nearby top Shiraz restaurants are Narenjestan Traditional Restaurant, Dash Akol Traditional Restaurant, Soofi Restaurant, Kateh Mas Restaurant, Vakil Cultural House, Sharze Restaurant, Anahita Traditional House, and Doosi Restaurant.
